Connection CV and cover letter
|
A cover letter should not be a repetition of your CV. Rather, it should highlight those aspects from your CV which matter to a vacancy. Your CV is the starting point, which offers a full, factual and detailed overview of who you are as a person. In your letter you pick the most relevant items from your CV. The profile section from your CV can be a guideline for the content of your letter. Your cover letter is the ideal document in which to show enthusiasm and motivation, which can and should be supported with facts. Your letter can also add some consistency and context to your CV. Do not refer to your CV explicitly in your cover letter. Recruiters do know where to find more information. The content of your letter should be convincing enough to entice them to read your CV more attentively.
