Close reading
|
Job ads often contain a lot of information, both direct and indirect. All there is to it is taking your time to read. Quite some applicants hardly glance at an ad before deciding to apply. If you really read an ad in detail however, you will be able to read between the lines and extract a lot of useful information. The ideal moment to perform a job-specific self-analysis is immediately after the close reading. You now know what you want and what the job has got to offer will prove very useful indeed.
