The structure of press releases

As far as structure is concerned, preformulation implies that the information in press releases is organized along the same lines as a standard newspaper article. This means that they start with a headline, followed by a number of paragraphs (including a so-called 'lead' and 'boilerplate'). In addition, there are a number of interesting traditional features both at the start and at the end of press releases.
